Extending 6.4 metres, or approximately 21 feet, this monumental original plesiosaur skeleton is identified as Zarafasaura oceanis.
Zarafasaura oceanis was an elasmosaurid plesiosaur from the Late Cretaceous seas of Morocco. Plesiosaurs were prehistoric marine reptiles distinguished by paddle-like limbs and, among elasmosaurids, an exceptionally elongated neck. They were neither dinosaurs nor mosasaurs.
