⭐ Impressive Size and Rare Anatomy
At more than one metre long, this fossil paddle immediately communicates the remarkable scale of the marine reptile to which it belonged. Complete plesiosaur limb displays of this size are rarely offered compared with individual vertebrae and isolated bones.
Its articulated presentation, entirely original fossil composition and association with one individual make it an exceptional specimen for an advanced collection or paleontology display.
🌊 Built for Life in the Ancient Sea
Plesiosaurs were prehistoric marine reptiles equipped with four powerful paddle-shaped limbs. These specialized limbs propelled and manoeuvred the animal through ancient marine environments in a form of underwater flight.
Zarafasaura oceanis belonged to the long-necked elasmosaurid plesiosaurs that inhabited the seas covering parts of Morocco near the end of the Late Cretaceous.
