This 38 cm Zarafasaura oceanis plesiosaur skull is a substantial marine-reptile fossil reported from Moroccoβs Oulad Abdoun Basin. Its elongated cranial profile and prepared three-dimensional presentation make it a distinctive display for a serious natural-history collection.
Zarafasaura oceanis was an elasmosaurid plesiosaur that inhabited the marine environments of Late Cretaceous Morocco. Plesiosaurs were ocean-dwelling reptiles with flippers and characteristically long necks; they were not dinosaurs.
