🌊 MONUMENTAL MOROCCAN MOSASAUR SKULL

Discovered in December 2025 and prepared over five months, this monumental Mosasaurus beaugei skull measures 120 cm, or approximately 47.2 inches. The fossil was extracted from the geological matrix, carefully assembled and stabilized to reveal its powerful three-dimensional cranial form.

All preserved skull elements and fossil teeth are stated to be associated with the same mosasaur individual. Minor repairs were undertaken during preparation, resulting in a stable display specimen that retains the character and mineral texture of the original fossil material.

🌊 Mosasaurus of Ancient Morocco

Mosasaurus beaugei was a large predatory mosasaur from the closing stages of the Late Cretaceous. Mosasaurs were powerful marine reptiles—not dinosaurs—that inhabited ancient seas and used strong jaws and conical teeth to seize marine prey.

The phosphate deposits of the Oulad Abdoun Basin preserve a rich marine ecosystem that included mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, sharks, bony fish, turtles and other prehistoric vertebrates.
